Back Story…
My Grandfather is a master log worker. I have had the opportunity over the last 3 years to aid him in the building of one of his trap line cabins and the cabin seen below. After about a year of planning, searching for land, and collecting materials it was time to build a full size 1500 Sq. ft log home as a passing of the torch project. We built this dream off-grid get away in 56 days. The video below explains the backstory in further detail, it also showcases the process and the characters that were involved. The second video features the interior finishing of the cabin which was completed in spring of 2019.
Moving Forward…
Now that the knowledge and tools have been passed along - paired with the addition of Clark the crane - I can push Mountain Fire Woodworks towards my original vision. Off-grid custom log cabins and homes. I am currently searching for the right customer for the summer of 2020. Someone who wants to be involved in the design process, someone who wants to inhabit or escape to a unique space that was made to perfectly match their vision. Trust me, I am just as excited to build another cabin as you are to own one, so let’s get the ball rolling!
